We enable leaders
to achieve the extraordinary in a complex, uncertain world.

DMD and Enablers Network
Almost 30 years ago, back in 1996, I founded the Enablers Network, which today has become one of the finest European association of experts in Leadership and Change.
In 2024, I chose to donate the brand Enablers Network to an Association, the Enablers Association. I will still be fully engaged with the Enablers Network and the vehicule from which I will operate will be DMD (D. Marlier Development or, as I prefer to call it, Depolarization Mediation & Development, because in the end, this is what I stand for "Building bridges rather than walls".
My Seven Lives
I describe myself as Author/Blogger, consultant, father & husband, idealist, professor, Sparring Partner, and… agent-provocateur.
These are my seven lives…
1
I co-wrote, with ex-IMD faculty, Chris Parker, the book “Engaging Leadership” which described our Change Leadership beliefs and practice. I regularly publish a blog, which is now followed by 5’000 executives and academics around the
World. It is where I can express myself freely and let intellect and passion blend!

Here's where my thirst to deliver results is fulfilled.
Consultant
3
Finnish business philosopher and friend Esa Saarinen once warned me: “If you wish to go through a terrifying
feedback experience, ask it from your children”… He was right. My children and their companions are a permanent source of rejuvenation. My daughter in law is the artist who has come-up with our corporate identity! My own companion, neatly named Ange, is a permanent demonstration of unconditional affection and structure. I am very grateful for having met her.
Father & Husband

An Aquarian/ENFP could hardly be anything else. I am a rebel… with a humanistic cause!
"Agent Provocateur"
4
I am a Jungian ENFP. I am unable to work on something I don’t believe in or have no Passion for. Outside my work, there are several causes I passionately defend.
Idealist
5
I like to experiment with new ways of teaching and, when I find an institution courageous enough to allow it, I join
them passionately. When summoned to become an academic, I leave.
Professor
6
The coaching profession has become so overdone and populated that I prefer to describe myself as a sparring
partner for leaders, both in the corporate and professional sports worlds.
